Evergreen Charter School’s K-1 Students celebrated Earth Week from April 11th – April 14th. Students were involved in a variety of activities throughout the week that promoted ways to protect our environment. We encouraged our students to participate with the list below.
Monday, April 11th – “WEAR BLUE, SAVE WATER, TOO” day – Students wore an accessory of any shade of BLUE to school to promote clean and plentiful water.
Tuesday, April 12th — “PROTECT OUR SPECIES” day (Animal Day) – Students wore an accessory with animal prints to school.
Wednesday, April 13th — “WASTE FREE WEDNESDAY, THINK GREEN, GO GREEN, LIVE GREEN” – Students promoted the 3R’s Reuse, Reduce, Recycle – They wore an accessory of any shade of GREEN to school to promote trash reduction. (headband, socks, hat etc.)
Thursday, April 14th – “COLOR THE EARTH WITH FLOWER POWER” This day promoted the importance of planting trees and flowers. Students wore an accessory with flowers or leaves to school.
Evergreen Charter School takes pride in being a Green school and taking care of and respecting the environment. We look forward to celebrating Earth week with the students and teaching them ways to make EVERY day EARTH Day!
