English as a New Language CURRICULUM
The importance of the English as a New Language (ENL) program is to help English language learners (ELLs) to become proficient English speakers, readers, and writers. When English language learners learn both academic and social English, the students develop a wide range of benefits and skills that can be carried throughout their lives. Bilingual speakers have a wide range of benefits such as personal identity, family and community connections, academic achievement, and future employment opportunities. Evergreen Charter School provides a well enriched ENL program where the students have cross curriculum instruction.
