The Evergreen Charter School faculty and staff are dedicated to providing students with high-quality learning experiences that lay the groundwork for their academic journey. Clubs & Programs
SOCIAL CLUB
Purpose:
- Kindergarten and First Grade students are invited to join the Social Program, also known as the Social Club.
Highlights:
- We are happy to announce the launching of the KINDERGARTEN SOCIAL CLUB. This program will give students the opportunity to remain in school an additional hour in order to increase socialization, problem solving and sharing with friends

SPANISH CLUB
Purpose:
- Students have the opportunity to receive extra support for improving their Spanish language skills.
Highlights:
- Through motivating and engaging activities, the students in the Spanish Club are provided with opportunities to interact and speak to club members, increase their understanding of the language, and receive assistance with classroom assignments.

HOMEWORK HELP PROGRAM (HOMEWORK CLUB)
Purpose:
Kindergarten and First Grade students are invited to join the Homework Help Program, also known as the Homework Club.
Highlights:
- This program provides students with the opportunity to remain in school an additional hour to receive support with the completion of their homework.

SATURDAY SCHOOL
Saturday School_2023-2024 Form
Purpose:
- Kindergarten and First Grade students are invited to participate in our in-person Saturday School Program.
Highlights:
- This program is designed to support your child in reading.
- This program has a strong focus on foundational skills, sight words, phonemic awareness (the sounds of a word) and phonics (the relationship of sounds and letters to increase reading fluency).
- The ability to read accurately, smoothly and with expression will result in increased comprehension.
Date:
The program began Saturday, September 27, 2025 and will run until June 2026.
Time:
Two sessions for kindergarten will be offered:
- Kindergarten Students 8:00 AM-10:00 AM
- Kindergarten Students 10:15 AM- 12:15PM
One session for 1st Grade will be offered:
- First Grade Students 8:30 AM-11:30 AM

STORYTIME WITH MS. CAMILLI
Purpose: to listen to stories with Ms. Camilli and learn about the elements of a story!
Highlights:
- During the zoom sessions the children and Ms. Camilli will discuss: the characters, the setting, the plot, and problems and solutions in the story.
- Parents will have the opportunity to observe reading strategies and questioning techniques.

READ & MOVE WITH MR. LEVITAN
Purpose:
- To promote reading, physical activity, and family bonding at home.
Highlights:
- Mr. Levitan will read a story which will be translated by Mr. Aguilar. Afterwards, students will participate in a variety of fun physical activities or exercises that relate to the story. All family members are welcome to attend and join in on the fun!

The purpose of the art club is to provide students who have an interest in art, an opportunity to explore art and craft forms beyond what is offered in the curriculum.
Highlights:
With the art club, we hope to create:
- murals at Peninsula building through recycled materials
- a sensory hallway to benefit all our students
- an opportunity to exhibit students’ artwork through contest and special events
- a unique learning environment to all our students in Art Club
- a greater art education exposure that some schools do not offer

El propósito del club de arte es brindar a los estudiantes interesados en el arte la oportunidad de explorar formas de arte y artesanía más allá de lo que se ofrece en el plan de estudios.
